全国視聴率50%前後という国民的ドラマになった
時代劇ドラマ『朱蒙』（MBC）が日本でも大きな関心を呼んでいる。
昨年9月からKNTVで放映されている『朱蒙』について、
先日発売された共同通信社の韓流関連雑誌『もっと知りたい！
韓国TVドラマ』が 15ページにわたり特集している。
同誌は「『朱蒙』には吸引力のある俳優が多数出演、
“一度見たらハマる”人が日本でも急増中。（韓国で）裏番組の
ドラマを視聴率不振で打ち切りに追い込むほど人気が高い」と書いている。
タイトルロールを演じるソン・イルグクについては
「同ドラマで国民的俳優に生まれ変わった。
母性本能をくすぐる愛らしい男性。
愛国者だった母方の曽祖父、
女優の母という家に生まれたソン・イルグクだが、
当初はこれといった注目を浴びていなかった。
しかし、人知れず努力を重ね、演技力にスター性を備えた、
現在のソン・イルグクとなった」と説明している。
